NWN crashes in the arena.

Started playing yesterday, made a bard (pre-RDD if you prefer), his name being Merseine Verstinger. He joined the ancient ones... so far so good.
Problem is, when I entered the arena section, NWN crashed. Now, when I try to relog onto this char, it crashes, always, and I cant play with him anymore. What can I do?

Most likely an issue with your vid card. Update drivers

They *are* updated. Played all 3 campaigns witthout crashes.

The Arena contains 1.69 textures which are apparantly not supported by some of the older video cards , even newer models experience lag on these zones, I found a fix once upon a time where you could download and drop into the override folder all the newer textures in converted form. Doesnt do much for performance but is still playable. And like Mamaba said drop all your video effects down or possibly even switch to 16bit(compatiblity) texture set

Hmmm, where can I download this fix you mentioned, Alka?
Don't care if the graphs will drop, just wanna keep on playing here. Been looking for several servers with faction-related CvC and so far this seems the best out there.

Sometimes reverting to a video card update to when it did work fine is the answer. I'm running on my Dec 2010 update version because I decided that's when my video card worked best for this game. Haven't had any problems, haven't updated it since.

Seems like your area is bugged, I think a DM can fix that pretty easily. Hop in IRC and molest/harass Lokey and Tep until they do it for you, or grab me when I'm back in time (which is like 2 days so yeah, Lokey/Tep or DM that happens to be online
)

I've had this happen and just needed to rotate the toon - seems like occasionally it is facing the wrong way and can't see anything.

Sun Tzu, wasnt that the case; you can see per character picture: is pitch-blck as well. Also, you can't see the chat.
Couldn't fix it in my PC, so, reinstaled from zero and repatched on another one. It seems to work perfectly now, at least didn't get stuck anywhere... yet. Funny thing is that both PCs are have exactly same config, OS, etc. Go figure.
Anyway, I wanna say thank you, for all who did reply. For real. It is good to see this server has so many people willing to help. Hope to see ya all online.
Hm.. unless you're strong folks from another faction, in wich case, I'd rather not see you anytime soon.
