The Neversummer sig.

Post by Terl »

Now that the forums have been condensed into one, do you think it might be reflected in the forum sig? As it stands now it says Neversummer 4. I believe it should reflect not only 4 but 3.5 and 5 as well or maybe just say neversummer. Some might take it as a slight and may not feel this is their new home. I am sure that some will say big deal we have other things to do first, but I feel everyone needs to feel welcome if this is truly a community. Its kinda like leaving the names of a few states off an atlas. You see the space and wonder...are they a part of us?...It seems they should be...but theres no name so I can't be sure.

Yeah - absolutely - I think I posted something somewhere about a request to design a new banner for the top of the forums.

If anyone feels like taking a stab at that, that'd be awesome.

Would be great if it could incorporate elements of NS3, NS4, and NS5 in the banner to include all the Neversummer worlds. Bonuses for drop down site navigation along with it. Eye-candiness a plus.

Lemme know if you have some samples or suggestions.

I like Tep's idea... but maybe BlabberSummer or WahWahSummer forums might be better.

Maybe as an incentive for those that are competent with this stuff (read, not me) maybe the devs could give one of their toons a token that has a cool visual effect so as to be something like a badge of honor. I always kinda liked that time stop effect look myself, be cool to have that as a permanent effect I think.

Anyone ever think/act any more about making some new website graphics for us?

Are we all rewards based? Do we need a competition or something?

Actually I've been thinking about this for a while now...... I could whip something up this week - I have some cool ideas for this actually, (you may have noticed, I do enjoy making sigs and banners).

Does anyone have the original layered file (.PSD probably) or know where we could get a hold of it? The logo and its fiery background could probably be re-used.

This should be able to just overwrite the previous logo and work:

How's this?

I took screenshots of NS3's entry portal, NS4's intro cutscene, and NS5's entry portal and combined them.

Although I personally prefer Bargeld's logo :)

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

I like it. And anything would be better because it seems to me that the NS3.5 community has all but vanished since the forums have been condensed.
