No, we just like a good smiting from time to time. Helps keep one sane, good for the digestion, cures neck and back pain, stuff like that.
I taste of this server!

Don't forget your Domain selection - Trickery to help you survive and to boost Open Lock etc. and you can choose your other Domain as something that fits your RP idea.
You didn't mention a Tumble-class either... taking something like a Rogue level at 22 and 37 and maxing out your Tumble skill will give you more AC.
And Epic Spell Penetration is important in this mod.
Another way to get around the AC issue is to take Improved Expertise, since you can have a high buffed AB you can easily balance the +5AC/-5AB of Expertise or +10AC/-10AB of Improved Expertise as the need arises.
You don't need Divine Shield since you can cast 2 of the Undeath's Eternal Foe spells to give you the same effect, regardless of your Charisma stats and without taking 2 feats (Power Attack; Divine Shield).
You don't really need any Fighter levels pre-epic - if you want to RP a Cleric then you can take 38 levels quick easily, and just add a couple levels of Tumble-class as previously mentioned to help with your AC issue.
Morningstar is an excellent weapon choice. Hopefully you are evil in your RP plans... some better mid-level Morningstars available.

Hi Gtu, those are some great suggestions but I'll tell ya what I did differently.
I chose healing and animal domains. Her Goddess (deity) Is Lurue and requires it. She is most definatly not evil as she is the daughter of a Paladin and Dragon.
As for the AC issue, she is 29th currently - 6 ftr 23 cleric and has an unbuffed ac of 56. With the right buffs and divine shield it goes to about 69 or so. This I imagine will improve with better gear. I was thinking of being lame at the end and taking a lvl of monk at 40th for an ac dump but I dunno how i'd work it into her story.
She is currently using a blue triton morningstar becuase that's what her mother the paladin uses. (Yep she made it all the way to EC 2x and only died a few times.)
Her biggest problem thus far tho is the lack of wis - it's only 36 currently (yeah only, lol) But I also imagine that will get better as she lvls.

1 lvl of tumble-class post-epic. i take 1 ftr lvl for the free feat pre-epic.
domains. i always take magic and plant. for the offensive spells.
imp expertise is a waste of feats imho, since you don't have many to spare, and you need the ab for harms.
in terms of weapons, use whatever. i wouldn't waste feats on weapon foci as a casting cleric, since you'll be using a divine scepter at 25, and your buffs jack your ab high enough for harm to hit.
need blindfight for harms on concealed critters.
generally, when i'm building for RP, i build for power and keep the RP separate, unless it's something with strong RP consequences. i ignore 1 lvl of monk for ac. harder to ignore 10 lvls of PM in RP.

You can toggle the expertise feats, so they won't reduce your AB when you need it (e.g. Harm)... and you don't usually need a lot of AB for Harm to land - anything above 60 and a hit is almost guaranteed (concealment asside), and since you can easily get 70AB with buffs it's a good idea to be able to swap that AB for AC sometimes.
I htink Improved Combat Casting is also very useful.

A few thoughts on some of the comments that have been made:
Improved Expertise - I, personally, like to take Imp. Expertise if my build has room for it. When you are sitting back and slinging direct damage spells, that extra AC can be very nice. In combat, I would recommend always using either Imp. Expertise or Defensive Casting... one of those two modes should always be on. I typically use defensive casting if I'm trying to land a harm and IE otherwise. This is because I rarely take the combat casting line of feats.
Cleric AB - to the best of my knowledge, clerics can't hit 70 AB. Even though the character sheet says that the AB is that high, checking the combat window will reveal that it is down around 60ish. I think there is some sort of cap to AB buffs. Don't know exactly what it is, and I may be way off here. At any rate, 60 AB ain't exactly bad, especially for a caster type toon.
Epic Spell Penetration - quite simply a MUST HAVE. SR is the bane of clerics. This is the only way to counter that. TAKE IT.
Tumble Class - Yup.. a staple of power gaming. Pick a tumble class if possible.
