RDD wings from RDD levels are the only ones that are OK. Anything added from LETO or whatever (wings, tails, horns, blah blah blah) are not OK.
I taste of this server!
It has been remembered please that it has people for backwards of the dolls, and do not like to lose articles so that they had worked.

The ice queen and several of the other characters are only spawned for a short time, so her lag isnt a real impact on the server (tod some degree)
However the server and server logs wold have to keep up with 34 people (if they all had wings, tails, etc) and that big script that makes their tails appear normal. Not only that but the server has to keep up with it from transition to transition, which DOES cause lag, much like, leaving a sword drop on the floor causes lag if enough people do it. Hence te purpose for the clean up scripts. Leaving unkilled npc's causes lag also, if it wernt for the clean up scripts. I know of several servers that would ban you if you did not clean up your own spawns, or left gear on the ground.
Incidentally it's not all lag that is the problem, its the stuff that causes UNCESSESARY lag which is the problem. All of which the developers on this mod have done some great things to eliminate.
How much lag would a few tails or wings cause? Im not sure about that one.

Yes, there should be. And although I'm not sure if there are rules 'formally', but I have noticed the DM's on shout a few times the last couple of weeks telling players not to drop their stuff on the ground and leave it.
On at least three or four occasions DM's have come on 'shout' and reminded players that there are reasons why they have trash-cans and drop-boxes around.
In addition, (you probably already know this) but when you kill a critter, and want to get rid of some gear, click on the 'remains' and drop your un-wanted gear in it. When the clean-up script runs after you leave the area, it will get rid of your unwanted gear as well, and its easier on the server than just dropping it on the ground, and letting the clean-up scripts work that way. The scripts work more efficiently if it sees your gear as 'remains' and not a piece of material (coding) on the ground with all its attributes, etc.
There are several add-ons you can get they are called in general 'hak-paks'. A whole bunch as a matter of fact. You can spend all day downloading and installing them. To me they are something of a waste of time if other people cant see them without downloading the pack themselves. In addition Leto is a neat little program if you find a server that supports it. What I mean by that is that some servers will *see* a character created by leto as an *illegal* character and keep you from logging on. So I just don't mess with it anymore.

for hack-packs and such go here;

Be careful though, some of these can gimp your system, and im not sure what they will do to you current file arrangement. One of the things that they tend to screw up is the 'Update' function on your installation. This happened to me this last update, and I had to use a 'critical file rebuild' which eliminated all of the hack-packs and add-ons I had in place. So now I don't even bother.
I hope this helps.

Hak-paks are genearlly more trouble than they're worth, at least on NS. Your best bet is to just install the ones Fang and Pros tell you to--currently the only "hak-pak" NS is even planning on supporting (at least last I heard) was the underwater tileset:

Other than that, it's kinda at your own risk...

I would really have to agree with Charon on this point. Customization is fun, but it soon becomes alot of trouble. More importantly you are at your own risk with doing this kind of modification. There is the potential of really screwing up your system.
