Dragon Shape feat? please read

Post by --Cross--_ns3 »

Ok I have recently made a new build on NS Pacific and I was hopeing this build to turn around whenever I get the dragon shape feat well it didnt, the actual the dragon red, green, or blue didnt matter which one all sucked. Crappy AC, AB very low hit points to. Right now im lvl 33 with my druid monk, dwarven defender and the build is at an all time awesome for being without shifting into the dragon shape. With the Dwarven defender lvl's I have about 586 hit points which is VERY high right now with these lvls and these feats. The 586 hit points should roll over to the dragon and I should be haveing around close to 2000 or 3000 hit points with the dragon and not shifted AB is 49 and AC is 70. Shifted to dragon form is only 72 AC without shild 80 and 48 AB which is major crap.(doesnt seam to be moveing up anymore either) why so low, why cant it be higher and stronger if I new that this build would be this horriable I wouldnt have made it and I'm quit disapointed in myself and the build because i thought that it would be at least, well ALOT better than it is now.

If you guys are upgradeing the build on the dragon shape could you pm me back and tell me when the build will be done and how it will turn out to be . I hope this build becomes better than it is now and the final cut is way more powerful than wat is it yet to be. I dont mean to rush you guys but in my opion that dragon form NEEDS the update, its the worst feat seeing as how you have to have the following prerequisite: 21st lvl, Wildshape 6x/day or greater wildshape IV, and Wisdom of 30+ which for how much you have do for this type of feat, that is a major bummer on NS.

Someone help me out and pm me. DM Phantasim has already told me that you guys were trying to update the form but maybe others could give me a little more information about when the update on this feat will arrive.

Thanks for hearing my mood but was kinda of mad guys lol.

ok, the dragon shape is not the worlds greatest here on NS but you can make it better withoug upgrading it at all... First all you need to get the dragon shape is lvl 14 druid, 30 base wis, and lvl 21+ thats it (but keep boosting up wis) then instead of going for DD go for monk get like 6 monk levels (gets ya speed and what not and of course go for your WPN focus UNarmed... thern get some cleric levels go for 20 (can be changed as you see fit less or more) and use the buffs! the cleric buffs will help this build lots all points into wis, wis wis wis WISDOM is all u need wisdom and CON if u want it

So go for

14Druid/20Cleric/6Monk

Ac: around mid to low 80's (when buffed maybe higher)
AB: in the mid to low 60's (when buffed)

and damage will be low because it is physical damamge but with buffs can also be boosted a bit but not much

Hp: like 800's (When buffed)
"What was once rebellion is now clearly just a social sect But are you just upset because your own social clique has left Leave when you want because I know that someday I will too But I wont burn my bridges and be just another jaded fool"

That's a bit optimistic.

ok I agree with you yeti but this >14Druid/20Cleric/6Monk why would I want to be a cleric just to buff myself up for the dragon feat when it should already be powerfull enough pluss the buffs dont last that long and the dragon shape last for an hour, and DM Xero that is not optimistic. Consdering that everything else you shift into boosts your HP at least 500+ why shouldnt this one? My point is this feat should be very good considering how much you have to get just to choose the feat. My point is why is this so hard to get when so crappy when you receieve it ? When construct form, Undead shape, and Outside shape are all very good but when dragon shape is this bad its not even worth getting in my opinion.

I dont mean to grip but would, like to know when this feat is going to acutally get better, I dont usually complain but that feat sucks guys!

Pros has already been trying to tweak the dragon shapes for the past week or two, Cross. We hear you, we already know about the Dragon form sucking eggs, and we're working on it. And there's a fix in the works for Pacific's lack of an update too.

Alright thanks Dr_Fangorn my question to you is should i go ahead and keep my char as is now. because wat im wondering is, if i have to start over with the dragon feat re-learning it or when the update comes will it auotmatically roll over to my toon without me haveing to start over on the build?

Leave your character the way it is now.

FYI...

Also the unarmed will not help with the Dragon Shape. Though it will with most other forms unarmed, the Dragon does animal claws as a weapons, there for Unarmed does not help out a whole lot. You woulld have to get feat "unarmed animal weapon:claws" as a feat which is not an option.

Maybe in NWN2 they'll have the Natural Weapon Feat. That would stack, for sure.

have u tested that at all beefy??? I have had several 40 shifters on other servers and ALWAYS choose unarmed weapon focus and superior unarmed and noticed an increase in AB....

ill test again in the dojo but im pretty sure it helps...

tested and no no effect from unarmed... wierd guess its from the shifter scp found on nwvault... oh well...

Testing shifters in th dojo isn't particulartly useful, since Zing useses different shifter scripts.

There are uber builds available for dragon. You just have to find them. Not every possible combination of classes will be equal, as usual.

Yea, Dojo is a horrible place to test shifter. As far as the unarmed, it is all over the internet. The Dragon does animal claw damage, like it is a weapon. Unarmed works well for other forms like golems and such, just not the Dragon.

You'd need Weapon Focus (Creature Weapon).
