Just tested it out with my paladin on East that's got 28 do-gooder levels. As far as I could tell it gave 2d4 magical damage - so not especially uber at epic levels (unless of course there are some hidden bonuses).

Okay, thanks.

A few years back, in the pre-epic days, a DM told me that it got better as you gained in levels. Thanks for looking into it. Sounds like I would have been disapointed if I made a level 40 Paladin relying on the ammy to give some great bonus.

Thanks again.

Zing wrote:Hi Guys,

I stopped updating the Dojo when I became a Developer on the NS4 Team. This means that any of the gear which was added to NS3.5 in the last 4 months or so is not available in the Dojo.

Please understand that the Dojo was reasonably controversial when it was launched and in the interest of ensuring there can never be any misunderstanding about confilicts of interest the Dojo is now provided "as is".

The lack of a few items should not really make a massive difference in my opinion. However if there is a couple of items that you feel really make a difference to the way you can test a build let me know and I'll think about a small update.

Cheers

Z
Even if you modified the mod to allow me to bring in 'new' gear and not delete it that would help a lot.

Thx

Did Zing close down the dojo for good? I never see it up and running?? or did it move.
Anychance someone else might be willing to run something similar or anychance anyone know of a Download that we could use to do something similar?

It's up and running, just not all that often. More like a lucky catch when you can find it. :)

thats the problem, my catch hasn't been so lucky. Like the early days of Forrest Gump on a trawler.

It's also been very sluggish of late...to the point of crashes every 10 minutes or so and pings upwards of 1000 . I think if people will confine themselves to the main area and the goodies room, it might alleviate some of the problem, but there is definitely something wrong with the goodies room. I've also noticed crashes when people log off.

Fortunately there are alternatives:

In the normal campaign game, hit the ~ key and type 'DebugMode 1', hit it again and type 'dm_givelevel 40' (no quotes) and you'll be able to level.

There is also the Halls of Advanced Training mod available for free that is similar to Zing's and I think there might even be a way to import gear and save it, but I'm not 100% sure how.

*edit* Just so there's no confusion, the HoAT mod is one you have to download...it's not on a server anywhere that I know of. *edit*
