Forums Tweak

If you have just lost your 'always log in' or see just about every thread listed as unread its because of the tweak. Somewhere along the way the cookie name for the NS4 boards and the 3.5 boards came up with the same name. After a little looking the cookie name had been changed to the NS4 cookie name, so I changed it back again.

This should be helpfull for firefox users who use tabbed browsing to read both forums at the same time. They will no longer seem to be all read after you read your first topic.

As of now posting to the forums will require the person to be a registered user. Anyone can view them, posting requires a registered user.

I will be upgrading and adding a security patch to these forums saturday. The entire process should take right around an hour, so if you see some odd happenings, just try back again after awhile.

Added newsfeed for the forums. Look at the bottom of the page for the button to click.

You can add the whole forums, a specific forum, or just a thread. Its all dependant on where you are when you click the button.

If you are having problems logging in, go into your browser and clear your cache and cookies. Seems I changed a cookie setting while doing some fine tuning.

I have spotted a glitch in the php code for the 3.5 forums. This weekend after I finish the NS4 forums and database migration I will be going back into the 3.5 files and doing a few fixes. This should be invisible to everyone and I dont intend to shut the forums down while I do this.

Please remember though, if you start having problems logging into the forums again, clear your browser cache and cookies, then try and log in again.

DONT USE IT.

some of the image locations are broken so it makes things fairly ugly. I've already gone in and fixed one major problem in the cp_user_register, took meawhile to hunt that one down.

I'll work on getting the rest of it working sometime in the future.
