Would it be overly tedious to just set a bunch of the main combat areas (caves, mountains, whatever) to be "no resting allowed?" Maybe leave open some of the outer-combat areas to have a little bit of freedom, but change the deeper ones, away from town, if possible.
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
