Some places are really gorgeous, like Arroyo and the Nexi. My overall feeling isn't that positive though. And that is entirely the fault of NWN2. The control and camera are really awful. The inventory is in general a mess. And the vendors are totally chaotic too. And I know that is the fault of the game not the developers.
All in all Im gonna give it some more try for sure. As the beautiful landscapes do bring me back for more.
Still xp could be a bit higher sometimes: Lvl3 killing CR3 and getting only around 33xp iirc? That is a bit low. This kind of ratio is more for a rpg world where you act accordingly and the xp isnt that important.
Then again I gladly would have a NS5 rpg world, tho I think most players would leave then heh.
How does it feel and look?

Well keep in mind that this is still alpha, so nearly all the content is still missing or in the process of being phased in.
Think of all the emtpy places we've found so far, im sure we'll be getting higher lvl mobs in as time progresses. Though ill agree that for lvl 4+ players, constantly fighting the only mobs that still give xp high enough to make leveling SOMEwhat sustainable (the lizard men in / around garagoth) does get tiresome.
And yeah, the camera control is bad. But it always has been with NwN2 (at least to my memory) Ive barely got it on the "tolerable" stage using exploration settings, and my main gripe with that is that the camera dosnt rotate side to side fast enough for me to look around or react to mob situations. Cant imagine how bad it'll be for pvp...
Perhaps to keep the alpha testers leveling at a reasonable rate, bump up the xp for the lizard men, golems and memphits in garagoth? Or toss in some newer, higher cr enemies in the savana maps

Re: How does it feel and look?
I haven't even really worried about levelling, just run around and click on as much stuff as I can at this stage, fight mobs til I die and then go try other stuff.
As far as camera control and navigation, NWN2 in general is a little harder to manage than NWN1 from the little I've seen. I figure I just have to get used to it.
I've only been in one interior area with a party (one of the buildings in or near garagoth, fighting lizardmen) and it was a little hard to navigate or see what I was doing ( 3 PCs, 1 summons, 3-4 mobs). Maybe design so you can't get 6 PCs around a mob?

Three years of nursery school and you think you know it all.
