How far?
Just curious how far people have wandered in the land so far?
Also, how high of a level you get to when you transition to the next shard would be helpful too.

Re: How far?
So far I'm trying to find the history of this place, still searching around the crypt and village a lot.
Been everywhere in Meddia excepting all the nexus.

Re: How far?
Searched through all of Meddia I can get to.
Old Tunnels to Nexus (Nexus looks very pretty)
Been slowly working my into Karl. (Changed to this shard at lvl 4)
Also slowing working my way around Memia.

Re: How far?
Wandered into all area's reachable by the alpha nexus (garagoth, the oasis area(s) and memia (which i didnt say long in to see what was there. Got mob'd by 3 crag cats, a dire boar and a rock-something-a-rather. Had to beat a hasty retreat back thru the portal. lulz) As well as the immediate area's when you first log into the server.
Btw guys, dont try to take the beta nexus portal outside of garagoth. Its still not working right, and i got trap'd in there. Had to have my location reset by a dev/dm
And the crag cats sound sooooo cute when they attack. "mew.. mew" it almost makes me feel bad about having to kill them lol

Re: How far?
XP was good until about level 5 in Meddia. The Alpha Nexus areas (though haven't visited Kral) seemed pretty solid until level 10. There is still some decent XP to be found there, but the lvl 2-3 creatures dilute down the occasional lvl 5-6.
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

Re: How far?
Interesting. We had targeted Meddia shard for about level 1-2 or 3, the shards after Nexus Alpha to be level 3-6, and the Melenchor shard (that has very few/no creatures yet) targeted at level 6-10.

Re: How far?
For Meddia at least, I couldn't locate the Nexus Alpha on my own, otherwise I probably would have attempted to leave a little earlier. By 5, there was essentially no threat there and it was getting redundant. But I was still able to level up there within a day or so... then again I've been playing quite a bit (and solo - not sure how party dynamics would affect it).
Edit - I know I died various times as a level 1-2 there, so I certainly wouldn't have tried to move on when it was still dangerous there. Those Skeleton Archers are pretty deadly.

Re: How far?
If you run through all the areas up at the moment solo you get to abut 7-8 or so with a race without experience penalty. My dwarf hit 9 but there was some change there, running through some areas twice.
Since even Meddia lacks a lot of mobs at the moment there's certainly enough space for any sub-race to get through the earlier levels with some variety, but it's not that fun playing with 20 hp so maybe there's some space for having a wee bit more difficult mobs caves that's unfinished and increase the early gain a bit. Since few of the dungeons there are populated, party dynamics really haven't had a chance to come into play yet.
Some areas can be quite rewarding experience wise, but it seems that those are also the areas with a bit higher difficulty. For example, the goblin caves (especially the spear wielding ones) and the barn in Garagoth. The Wizard Tower seemed easier by comparison, and probably better for levelling up since you can finish of the half dead mobs and get full experience. My dwarf definitely was a bit higher level than intended when visiting Sanctum Arcanum, but that area seemed easy in comparison to the sheer amount of spellcasting lizards in the western Marash caverns (though Zessik Stonejaw, although named, seems no harder than the other lizards in the area). Actually, there's a bug to be found there as well as the grease spells seems to bug out healing potions (which have solved most of the difficult spots I've run into
), where they'll state a valid target has to be diseased, poisoned or injured, which might taint my opinion.

Re: How far?
I tried taking a different character to Kral at lvl 5 - seems to result in quite a few more deaths than the other Nexus Alpha locations. I think the open plains makes it easier to get ganged up on. Not sure how others would compare it to the other two, but its probably not really an issue to worry about now.
