The only thing I've noticed since the patch is that water "flashes" when I'm running or fighting near it. If I'm standing still, it doesn't do it.

I certainly agree, especially on the pure Druid front. I have a lvl 28 Druid who almost seems worthless unless in a party. Granted, only lvl 28 and yes, "then find a party and stop whining", but it's not always easy to find a party in that lvl range.

I'm not 100% sure I agree w/ the Druid deal, as I'm building mine mainly for the Dragonshape which I find rather fitting...
