Hell, I've seen him sit right outside Avandell before and kill anyone trying to leave town, over and over again - i.e. griefing. Also, Nominus is a total whiner. I think a better plan would be to allow anyone to bind anywhere, with the exception of capital cities - make those the only bind points that enemies cannot bind at. You probably can change the physical appearance without a hackpack (although it might not reflect what you're actually wearing). I tested it a few nights ago, and it worked fine. I wandered through the RK main city with the mummy and had no problems - it slaughtered the city defense and never had a problem.

Mummy needs to have its ranking improved

The mummy needs to have its place improved on the chart; it no longer has the bug where it stands around doing nothing (and hasn't for quite a while).

Good HP, good attacks, it uses knockdown and called shot to cripple opponents, and lasts 24 hours. All-in-all a very effective summon.

Mummy Dust is bugged. The summon will stand there. Forever. Won't attack, won't guard. Won't even autoattack in retaliation. Just stands there and dies. It hasn't done that for a while now. (Unless it started up again after I switched to a new character...) Also, the mummy isn't really beefy enough...

As for Epic Spells, the only one worth a damn IMO is Epic Warding. I would also take Mummy Dust, as having a powerful summon to help you can never hurt, and the mummy stays around a long time and has good HP / AC. I think he's talking about creatures that always appear armed (like guards, ogres, etc.), even if they don't actually have the item for purposes of a drop.

Weapon Masters & crafting

According to the docs, only Fighters can attain Master Artisan level in either of the weapon crafting tradeskills.

Why can't Weapon Masters acheive it as well? It seems to me that being able to craft a weapon would fit in perfectly with their intention (i.e. being masters of a weapon).

Frankly, I think pretty much all the ECLs are 1 point too high - generally the bonuses the subrace gives is not enough to make up for the ECL difference you're being penalized with. In fact, if you look in the PnP monstrous manual, most of these creature types have an ECL 1 lower than in NS, as well...

Wow. That's what I call service.

I post a complaint about Mummy Dust on the forums, and it gets about 100% better in under 5 minutes.

Looking much better now, but still could use a little bit of work to make me feel like the epic feat was worth it.
