What makes a server crash?
I dont know much about custom modules, but I was wondering what makes one PW module more prone to crash or lag really badly. Is it the hardware of the server, the amount of custom scripts/content, etc. At first I though it was just my connection because my location is far from the server and a relat...

just a though, but why not just 4 lvls to maximize the AB of rogue/cleric types... that fifth level will cost a player 1 AB in pre epic... unless of course this what you intended... also X consecutive levels is good if you want to prevent taking classes to maximize skills at certain intervals (i.e. ...

but what if someone wants to alternate levels. for example take paladin, then monk, then paladin again, so on and so forth... not that a paladin/monk makes much sense, but you get the idea 5 pally/5 monk/1 pally/1 monk/1 pally/1 monk/1 pally/1 monk....... offcouse, the best answers are usually the ...

Oh, and just in case anyone gets any bright ideas: Yes the names are parsed before being entered into the database, so there's no point in trying to commandeer the server via player input :) Ah yes, a standard buffer overflow... you can crash just about anything Microsoft made with one of those... ...

First let me just say that my experience with PvP is very limited, just so you know a little about where Im coming from. A possible problem of adding penalties at log-on is the PvM consequences. Considering the current stability of the server this would seem a bit dangerous. I personally have been d...

positive energy vs undead
how does positive energy work when cast on undead. I cast cure critical wounds on the undead minatour lich thing near dearon and I did +500 plus damage, the 2nd cast I did +300 damage, and the last cast about 60... after that it was dead with a couple of hits from my hammer. Im not sure about the nu...

talking when dead
This is a rather stupid question buy how do you talk when your dead. This is probably not a NS4 specific issue but I never noticed till lately that I didnt know how to talk when Im dead. I know its possible cause I see people ask for a rez all the time. But I never noticed any problems since I usaul...

A shameless bump I know... I promise there will be only one. So does anybody know. Maybe nobody knows, maybe those who know dont want to share or maybe you think such knowledge and use of such knowledge would be metagaming/powergaming. I admit if I knew how Id camp the hell out of a boss for xp, loo...

I dont know about how it worked before but Greater Magic Weapon works now, its just not always obvious. If the enchantment of your weapon is already equal or greater than what Greater Magic Weapon (lets call it GMW for now) would give you then there is no effect, i.e. any +5 weapon makes GMW useless...

I did some testing and I found out that darkfire works (and probably always has) worked with magical weapons and the spell greater magic weapon... thats what i get for trusting bioware's spell descriptions. As for what this spell means for balance... Im still not touching that debate. When it comes ...

mini-bosses
I know that mobs respawn quite quickly when you leave the area but how about the mini-boses, they dont always respawn with the rest of the regular mobs. How long before they respawn?

darkfire and greater magic weapon
According to the spell description Darkfire is only supposed to work on non-magical weapons, and from what I remember it also doesnt work with Greater Magic Weapon spell. I suppose this was changed, but doesnt this make it a little over-powered. At lvl 15 a cleric with Greater Magic Weapon and darkf...
