The bard is imo very strong. Even with a halved bard song from li it is still at the pinnacle of minmaxing character.
And no, bard song can't be dispelled. Not even the cradle does affect it afaik...

Don't worry. If you really go 40 lvls of pure wizard, you will know every spell on Aetheria. Especially if you took Illusion as your primary casting direction at the beginning.

If you go pure, go for summon MD. It scales with lvls. Other than that, pretty nice... Although I'd take Extend Spell earlier, instead of sf evocation ie.
