I want to say Neversummer is it's own campaign, in another world, not connected to the Forgotten Realms, but using the same gods. I thought there was some background somewhere, but I can't find a link to it at present. The intro sequence when you create your first character will give you some insigh...

The Shadow Legion seems to have a huge number of 1-3 level beetle zones compared to others I've played too. Perhaps the 2nd and third screens of beetles could be where the tougher critters of CR 3 - 5 hang out.

Yeah, I tried starting a thread on it too, but no one seemed interested. Either that, or there aren't many things out there people would consider artifacts.

If DMs were to do this on an individual basis... ...then how would you keep track of who got modified and who didn't so no one got modified twice? ...what would you do about the subrace object that always modifies stats? Give those who got hand-modified stats a new one for their subrace abilities on...

One other thing that hasn't been mentioned... If there is an xp cost on death, people will be far more likely to just run away from pvp unless they think they can win. I just took a shot at defending my HQ from a druid and cleric. They were both a little lower level than me, but being two on one, I ...

One more datapoint for not being able to use items one crafted:

I have a level 8 bard/rogue (4/4) that hit craftsman, made the craftsman longbow, but can't wield it until level 9.

Info on the character is stored in the database. When you log out, where do you think the inventory goes? Straight into the DB. And then adding a 24 hour timer on it is another field in the database, and processing time to track it, unless you just do a time check whenever you try to drop the ear or...

Gaining XP for killing players will always be exploitable if the gain is worthwhile compared to the loss of XP to the losing character. Some class / race / stat combinations are incredibly easy to level, and some are hard. All an enterprising exploiter has to do is get his Strength-based fighter to ...

I don't have a problem with disarm being useful, but your argument that you can choose not to fight doesn't hold water. Someone can hide and sneak up to you, or just walk up to you, and disarm you. Not only did you not choose anything, you were flatfooted on his first swing, the disarm swing, and he...

I think the official distance is 30' you have to be within to get a ranged sneak attack. This isn't very far, only 10 yards, or the height of about 5-6 average humans. I'm not sure what the radius is on Dragon Fear, but that looks to be about 20-30' to me on screen. Experiment on cows and chickens a...

Artifacts / Relics

So has anyone found any yet? From what I remember reading, level 20+ critters have a remote chance of dropping one now and then. I've been killing dragons and some city bosses for a couple weeks now but haven't seen anything particularly juicy drop yet that I'd call a unique / artifact / relic type ...
