I just thought it was strange how we went through some enormous battles with our high-20 level characters 1 of which might have an item others would consider...

Ahh yeah... +10 at Cleric level 37. Remember the Cleric base attack progression misses out a point at levels 1, 5, 9 etc... (last one at 37) as compared to a Fighter. So you get +10 at Cleric level 37, instead of the +5 you would normally get outside of ns3.5... so there you go, Cleric 37, Assassin ...

Starting with the idea of 32 Bard with base 16 Cha... 1 Paladin and 7 Blackguard pre-epic seems like an obvious choice to me... or 4 RDD 4 CoT also pre-epic. You can even do 1 Fighter 7 Weaponmaster. Lots of choices, but with 8 levels left over you should probably be looking at having at least 4 of ...

East has some serious stability issues lately

Epic Dodge is great against a single tough opponent... effectively you get an extra 5 AC and they lose an attack per round... against mobs it is less effective. A monk weaponmaster with epic dodge I also have got to 40 recently and is very good... I did 10 Monk 5 SD 25 WM, using 2 kamas... decent da...
