Two-Handed Silly?
Traditionally using a two-handed weapon trades the protection of a shield for extra damage, but I was thinking that the balance might be thrown off by the way NS4 equipment is set up. A player using a two-handed weapon is basically giving up resistance and immunity to an extra damage type as well as...

The graphics JoeFaust did do have their merit; there is a lot of information presented at once, in a clean layout. Unfortunately it based off of using a tool that is both in beta, and wants to charge for it's use. Another problem is figuring out where you are; while you might know that you are in th...

Those are good links JesterOI, and certainly good for general directions, but I was thinking about having a map that would put you on the doorstep of where you were looking for. Unfortunately I don't think that the zones fit together nicely enough to be made into one 2D map; and there is the trouble...

This is a link that explaines the idea. Directions could be given from a known point to the destination simply as a series of zone numbers. I was planning on starting at Avendell and perhaps each of the faction's cities and working out from there.

NS4 Unofficial Map
I have heard of several people trying to map areas on their own, but I don't know of anyone who has had much luck. I had an idea of a system of graphical maps, but it would take the participation of more than just a few members of the community to make it useful. Would anyone feel like contributing ...

The problem with scripting them in as a permanent bonus as I understand it is that it would cause problems with enforcing legal characters. NWN will recognize the edit as being impossible to reach with their idea of a "normal" character, and so runs afoul with the cheat protection. Until that is res...

According to 3rd edition rules, this is how turn works: 1) Roll a check to see how powerful an undead creature you can turn. (1d20 + charisma modifier) The following table shows what you can turn. (roll) (most powerful undead affected in hit die) 0 or lower = cleric's level - 4 1-3 = cleric's level ...

I have found a way to tell level restictions before you buy an item. While looking at an item, pull it down into your items box. Then try to put it on. If it is level restricted you should not be able to wear it. You can still buy the item even if you leave it on. Of course this means you could ste...

Putting the level restrictions in the item description would indeed make it faster, but there are two large problems with this: 1) There are a BUNCH of items out there, and modifying the descriptions would take up time that would be better spent on practically any of the other 107 new bugs. 2) Due t...
