the steam download saves several steps from the gog installation including auto serial key... but struggling with my steam...
is there a win 10 work-around or something.... I need

The shortcut and info I've posted so far are just for GOG because that's what I have and am familiar with.

For steam, could try this:
Open your steam app and go to your library.
Right click NWN:EE and create desktop shortcut. (Might need to do properties, then create shortcut on that screen).
Go to the desktop and right click the shortcut, do properties.

If the target goes to somewhere\steamapps\common\nwnmain.exe
Then you can add the +connect ns4.ns4ee.com:5121 to the end.

If it's not nwnmain.exe and goes somewhere else, then I will need to work with someone on discord for a bit to poke around and find the steam location for nwnmain.exe and put together a new shortcut.
